Carbon road wheels built around BERD spokes
The SHR Helix is a configurable carbon road disc wheelset distinguished by its use of BERD braided UHMWPE spokes.
Rather than offering one fixed configuration, the Helix allows the rider to select the rim depth and other components according to weight, riding style and requirements. This makes it possible to configure the wheelset around its actual intended use rather than choosing a single standard specification.
BERD braided UHMWPE spokes
The defining feature of the SHR Helix is its spoke technology. Instead of conventional metal spokes, the wheelset uses BERD spokes made from braided UHMWPE polyethylene.
Both wheels use 24 spokes, giving a 24-spoke front and 24-spoke rear configuration.
The BERD spoke system is combined with SHR Pro B hubs specifically configured for this type of build.
Carbon rims from 30 to 50 mm
The Helix can be configured with carbon rim profiles ranging from 30 to 50 mm.
This choice allows the rim depth to be adapted to the rider's intended use rather than imposing the same profile on every cyclist.
A lower profile can be selected when the priorities favour a shallower wheel configuration, while the deeper options are available for riders looking for a more aerodynamically oriented road setup.
SHR Pro B hubs
The Helix is built around SHR Pro B hubs, designed for the hooked spoke configuration used on this wheelset.
The front wheel uses a 12 × 100 mm thru-axle, while the rear uses the road disc standard of 12 × 142 mm.
Bearing options include hybrid ceramic bearings or TPI bearings, with the latter indicated as equivalent to the type used by DT Swiss.
Tubeless-ready carbon road disc wheels
The SHR Helix is specifically designed for disc brake road bikes and uses tubeless-ready carbon rims.
This clearly positions the wheelset for modern road bikes using 12 × 100 mm front and 12 × 142 mm rear thru-axles.
Tyre width and rim width compatibility should be checked according to the selected rim profile before ordering.

The carbon rims are covered by a lifetime warranty according to the warranty conditions applicable to the product.
After-sales support is handled directly by the SH Race workshop in Luxembourg, with shipping covered when the intervention falls under warranty.
A crash replacement programme is also available, with a 30% reduction on the replacement rim and a 20% reduction on labour under the conditions stated for this product.
